| 内容記述 | 人とペットの関係が密接かつ多様化する現代社会において、動物愛護や動物の適正な管理について法制度の拡充に向けた議論が高まっている。本研究では、本学学生および公開講座の参加者に対してアンケート調査を実施し、動物愛護管理法の周知度の実態、および、動物愛護に関する状況のうち所有明示としてのマイクロチップに対する意識について検討した。学生と一般参加者の比較結果から、動物愛護管理法の内容のうち「所有明示」、「法の目的」において、一般参加者の周知度が有意に高かった。犬猫の個体識別の方法として、マイクロチップが適切であると考える人は多くいることが分かった。法改正に向けてマイクロチップの義務化が論じられるなか、普及を妨げる要因を明らかにし、マイクロチップ特有の利活用と飼い主に対してメリットを実感できるような取り組みが必要である。動物看護分野における動物愛護教育の充実のため、人と動物の共生を目指す社会の実現を掲げる動物愛護管理法の理解は重要と考えられる。(著者抄録) | |||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | The relationship between people and pets has become increasingly close and diverse in recent years, and there is a growing debate about expanding regulations for animal welfare and proper management of animals. We conducted a questionnaire survey of persons who attended a public lecture at the Yamazaki University of Animal Health Technology. The questionnaire focused on awareness of the Act on Welfare and Management of Animals and perceptions of microchips as a means of identifying animals' owners. Attendees from the community emphasized ownership claritification and purpose of the law significantly more than did student attendees. Many attendees reported that microchips are an appropriate method of identifying individual dogs and cats. A microchip mandate is currently being debated as a revision to the law. It is necessary to clarify the factors that might impede popularization of microchips and promote the benefits of microchips, especially to owners. To enhance animal welfare education in the field of animal nursing, it is important to understand this law and its goal of harmonious coexistence between humans and animals. | |||||||||||||||||
